The nearest town to Stará Lesná is Poprad, easily accessible by train, bus or plane.

You can reach Poprad by train/bus from these aeroports:

1. Košice airport

  • bus no. 23 or taxi to Košice train/bus station,
  • train Košice – Poprad-Tatry train station

2. Vienna airport

  • bus Vienna Airport – Bratislava bus station Mlynské Nivy (Slovaklines, RegioJet, FlixBus)
    • NOTE: some buses of the Slovaklines  company stop at Bratislava main train station (Bratislava Hlavná stanica)
  • bus no. 40 (6 stops, 1.1 EUR) / taxi to Bratislava main train station
  • train Bratislava – Poprad-Tatry train station

3. Bratislava airport

  • bus no. 61 to Bratislava main train station (Bratislava Hlavná stanica)
  • train Bratislava – Poprad-Tatry train station

4. Budapest airport

  • transfer Budapest airport – Košice Protifašistických bojovníkov 6 street, 10 minutes walking distance from the train station (Cassovia Transfer company)
  • train Košice – Poprad-Tatry train station

5. Krakow airport

  • Krakow airport – Krakow MDA, Bosacka (public transportation bus)
  • bus Krakow MDA, Bosacka – Poprad or Tatranská Lomncia (FlixBus)

Routes from Poprad to Stará Lesná:

  • from Poprad-Tatry to Stará Lesná by electric train via Starý Smokovec. Be aware that the train station Stará Lesná is 3 km far from the hotel!!
  • from Poprad to Stará Lesná (hotel Lesná) by TAXI. This is the best and recommended option :).

Routes from Tatranská Lomnica to Stará Lesná:

  • from Tatranská Lomnica to Stará Lesná by bus. You need to take a bus heading to Kežmarok. The bus stop in front of the hotel Forton is Stará Lesná/Rekr. Str. VSE.
