PREDNASAJUCI / LECTURER : Martina Kováčová (1) Astronomical Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, 059 60 Tatranská Lomnica NAZOV / TITLE : Examination of the transportation abilities of the 3:1 MMR with Jupiter ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT : Resonances in the main asteroid belt play a significant role in the dynamical evolution of small bodies. They can drive objects into various parts of the Solar System. As last year, this talk will focus on the transportation abilities of 3:1 mean motion resonance (MMR) with Jupiter. Last time, I left you with an extensive “To-do list”, more or less. This time, results will be presented. We were interested in transport to the NEO region and the final state of test particles that originally started in this resonance. Moreover, we also searched for the orbits of potentially hazardous asteroids (PHAs), close encounters with planets, and migration toward the Sun. Our simulations did not include non-gravitational effects, and collisions with planets or the Sun were also initially ignored. We will also show how the results would have changed if we did not ignore collisions.
