LSO coronagraphic possibilities to observe sungrazing comets and the 2026/A1 case.

The lecture will provide information on the possibilities of the Lomnicky Stit Observatory
(LSO) coronagraphic observations of the sungrazing comets using the ZEISS 200/3000/4000
coronagraph and the CoMP-S spectropolarimeter based on the tunable Lyot filter.

Additionally, it will describe preparations for observations of the recent sungrazing
comet 2026/A1 passing its perihelion on 2026/04/04. Unfortunately, no results from these
planned operations can be presented due to bad weather at the LSO during the comet's
passage near the Sun.
