PREDNASAJUCI / LECTURER : Viktoriia Krushevska (1) Astronomical Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, 059 60 Tatranská Lomnica NAZOV / TITLE : Discovery and investigation of new eclipsing variable HD 182144 ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT : This report is about the discovery of a new eclipsing binary HD182144 located in the field of the symbiotic star CH Cyg. Our photometric observations were carried out using the 60\180 mm photolens and Zeiss-600 Cassegrain telescope of AI SAS, Tatranska Lomnica, Slovakia in 2018 and 2023. We have determined the period of variability and the values of eclipse minimum depth. Also we clarified the stellar magnitudes and calculated the color indices during eclipses and non-eclipsing part of the light curve. We built a two-color diagram and estimated the spectral classes of binary components. We also analyzed observations of this variable obtained with the TESS satelite and we measured the star's brightness using archival photographic plates from the Sonneberg Observatory. Stellar parameters such as masses, radius ratio and some others were calculated. According to the type of eclipse, the variable HD182144 belongs to the Algol-type eclipsing binaries with an orbital period of about 6.5124 days. Possible period changes were tested by using O-C diagrams.
