Spectroscopy of binary and multiple stars at SL and SP
observatories

ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT :

Spectroscopic observations of selected binary and multiple stellar
systems obtained at the Stara Lesna and Skalnate Pleso observatories
are presented. The observations were analyzed by the cross-correlation
and broadening function techniques to reveal component profiles and to
measure their radial velocities. SB1 and SB2 spectroscopic orbits for
individual interesting cases are presented. Those include a flaring
non-eclipsing system and a contact binary. Several triple, and
quadruple systems are presented. The component spectra are
disentangled using an iterative-type technique and analyzed to
determine atmospheric parameters. The future perspectives of the
research and the spectroscopic instrumentation at the Skalnate Pleso
observatory are outlined.
