PREDNASAJUCI / LECTURER : Olena Shubina (1) Astronomical Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, 059 60 Tatranská Lomnica NAZOV / TITLE : Dust coma of comet C/2013 X1 (PanSTARRS) ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT : The results of monitoring photometric observations of comet C/2013 X1 (PanSTARRS) during December 2015 and January 2016 obtained within B, V, and R Johnson-Cousins filters are presented. B-V and V-R colours within an aperture of ~17000 km mainly demonstrated typical red values. Dust productivities (Afρ proxy) and normalized spectral gradient S'(B-R) showed dramatic changes on January 1. The study of the evolution of morphological structures over the cometary coma, applying the geometrical model to observed data, revealed two active structures. Using the model of agglomerated debris particles, we interpreted the observed colour variations. According to the computations, the coma was populated by 70% organic-matter particles (by volume) and two types of silicate particles together, constituting another 30%.
