PREDNASAJUCI / LECTURER : Olena Shubina NAZOV / TITLE : Complex studies of hyperbolic comet C/2013 X1 (PanSTARRS) ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT : I present our results of complex (photometric, spectral, and polarimetric) observations of hyperbolic comet C/2013 X1 (PANSTARRS). The data were obtained from November 2015 to January 2016 using three observation facilities: 6-m telescope BTA (SAO), 2.6-m Shajn telescope (CrAO), and 61-cm telescope at Scalnaté Pleso observatory (AI SAS). Emission features of several molecules were detected in the cometary spectrum. Colours, dust productivities, and normalized spectral gradients were estimated from photometrical and spectral data. Distribution maps of intensity, colour, and the linear polarization degree were constructed. Analysis of morphology showed a non-uniform structure of the dust coma. A sharp increase in comet brightness was revealed on January 1, 2016. Applying the geometrical model to observed data, we studied the evolution of morphological structures over the cometary coma and could calculate the nucleus rotational period. The model of agglomerated debris particles and the Sh-matrix method were used to determine the chemical composition of the coma.
