Positions of the radiants of theoretical particles in the atmosphere of Mars associated with comet 21P in the equatorial coordinates. A specific color is used to show the radiant of given shower.
Description:
We investigated the dynamical evolution of the meteoroid stream originating in comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner. For the Earth, we confirmed the relationship between 21P and the October Draconid meteor shower, #9. We further found an indication of association of 21P, with the ι-Cygnids, #525, August β-Aquariids, #474, June ξ1-Sagittariids, #861, ξ2-Capricornids, #623, Northern σ-Sagittariids, #167, α-Capricornids, #1, Daytime Capricornids-Sagittariids, #115, and ν-Draconids, #220. We also dealth with the meteoroid streams of 21P at the other terrestrial planets. We found several related meteoroid streams impacting on Mercury or causing the meteor showers on Venus and Mars. There occurred the filaments, in the stream, with the particles coming to each planet from a similar direction.
