| The distribution of radiants of modeled particles corresponding to the meteor showers of ecliptic-toroidal structure of complex of asteroid 2003 EH1. The denotation used: DAN and DAS - Northern and Southern Delta Aquarids, respectively, QUA - Quadrantids, ARI - daytime Arietids. Except of these well-known major showers, we predicted another four filamets (fil.4, fil.6, fil.7, and fil.9) of the complex. The distribution is shown in the Hammer projection of the ecliptical coordinate frame. |

Description: |
Meteor-shower complex of comet 96P/Machholz and almost identical complex of asteroid 196256 (2003 EH1) consist of 6 showers, whereby as ecliptical (four) as toroidal (two) showers are its parts. Before, there was no indication of any relatioship (a common parent body) between these kinds of showers. So far, there was a doubt that the toroidal showers are real. Our prediction of the complex showers, made by the simulations of dynamical evolution of modeled stream from both the parent bodies, is confirmed with the existence of four well-known major showers: Southern and Northern Delta Aquarids, Quadrantids, and daytime Arietids. Their observed mean characteristics fit quite well our prediction. The fifth of the predicted showers, a southern counterpart of Arietids, seems to be present in the newest data collected by the Canadian meteor radar CMOR. The radiant area of the sixth shower, a southern counterpart of Quadrantids, is predicted deeply on the southern sky, with a strong deficit of meteor observations, therefore a corresponding shower, if exists, could not be detected yet. From the context of our results, it yields that the toroidal showers not only exist, but the well-known Quadrantid shower together with its southern counterpart belong to this kind. |
