I was born in Presov, Czechoslovakia, on October 4, 1946. Since graduating from the Comenius University in Bratislava (Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, formerly Faculty of Natural Sciences), I have been working at the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Tatranska Lomnica in The High Tatras. I am a member of its Stellar Department working mainly in the field of chemically peculiar stars.
