title: Development of Instrumentation for Spectroscopy and Astrometry at the
Hamburg Observatory

abstract:
The instrumentation research group (Prof. Wiedemann) at the Hamburg
Observatory is currently developing techniques for both stellar/solar
spectroscopy and astrometry with metre-class telescopes.
Both of the pursued spectroscopic approaches (Fourier Transform and
Echelle Spectroscopy) as well as high-resolution astrometry efforts via
Lucky Imaging will be outlined in this talk.
