Spectropolarimetric modeling of the outer solar atmosphere

ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT :

Spectropolarimetry is an invaluable tool for investigation of the solar
magnetism. I will review the elementary processes leading to creation 
and modification of spectral line polarization and their role 
in diagnostics of the solar magnetic fields.
In the second part of the talk, I will show the forward modeling and 
inversion tools available nowadays, and how can they be used 
for exploration of the outer solar atmosphere.
