Jan Rybak News - June 2006 : Farewell celebration with Mr. Laco Scheirich


Do you believe? There exist a person who almost 39 years has been observing the solar corona on the top of the Lomnicky Peak (2665m a.s.l.). His name is Ladislav Scheirich. On occasion of his leaving for retirement there was organized a small celebration on June 23, 2006, where something was said, something was given as a gift to Mr. Scheirich, something was eaten and drunk... Some nice moments have been spent and some interesting information about Mr. Scheirich was made public.

All we know Mr. Scheirich as an very experienced observer. His careful work on photographic measurements of the emission lines and on preparations of data for the Homogeneous data set of the green coronal line is well known and acknowledged.

Laco, what to wish? Maybe nice years with still a lot of activity!
