Jan Rybak News - May 2005 : Meeting my first steps in professional astronomy

More than 20 years ago I was helping astronomers at the Department of the Interplanetary Matter of our institute in Bratislava reducing some radar echoes of meteors taken on films on the Ondrejov meteor radar. I was a student writing my diploma work at that time. So I made my first step in professional astronomy at that time.

By change I have been invited by prof. Vladimir Porubcan to visit his office where there is still a projection screen used for my work decades ago. It's that large grey/green box on the left side of the picture made by prof. Porubcan. I like this picture of mine (and the box). It was taken after a short but pleasant discussion about future of our institute and astronomy in Slovakia in general. Thanks a lot, Vladimir!
