TITLE: Spectroscopy and imaging tomography of the solar fibrils:
       photospheric drivers and coronal consequences

COOPERATING INSTRUMENTS: SST+DOT/LaPalma, CDS+MDI+EIT/SOHO, TRACE

SUMMARY: 

weather: mostly clear sky but NE wind, some days with clouds, fog, rain

seeing : - good seeing conditions: some 10-min intervals in 2 days, 
		  		   1 5min interval in 1 day         
         - mostly bad conditions: no close loop even on pores

data   : - 6 runs lasting up to 30min with variable but at least moderate 
           seeing: 15/4 and 22/4/2006
	 - 1 short 5min run with good seeing: 24/5/2006

setup  : - fixed slit position, SP 5576+6302, SJ 5576+6302, 
           Ca II H context SJ

cooperation: good runs with co-pointing of the DOT and the TRACE, CDS
	     in the FOV of DOT and TRACE

GOOD NEWS: - wireless handpaddle !
	   - smoothly running turret program
	   - smoothly working external trigger with 5 cameras
	   - CT+AO easily adjustable	  

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS:

- turret: - 3 positions with dirty encoders in El -> sometimes big jumps 
	    during fast turret motion (e.g. down->home),
            no problem when following the Sun at these labeled positions 
	  - several labeled bad Az positions -> cleaned AZ axis
          - too high counts in the WL finder camera decreased with an
	    additional polarizer glued near to the aluminium sheet in 
	    front of the guider -> bad focus of the telescope or 
	    interference between the filters

- telescope: back plate high temperature due to failure of the cooler
	     outside of the building (repeared by Hammerschlag,
	     Bettonvil, Henderson)

- Magaplus camera II: shutter effect when using in the expternal
                      trigger mode as a slave - for exp_time 70ms,
		      for exp_time > 20ms o.k.	      

- turret + "save_all" acqusition mode: scan is o.k. but the retn of the 
           slit to the first position in irregular and extremely slow
