A picture of mine

I was born in Brezno, the Slovak Republic (at that time part of the former Czechoslovakia), in 1965.
After having finished the study at the Comenius University in Bratislava ( Faculty of Mathematics and Physics)
I have been working at the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Tatranska Lomnica.
My main field of research were chemically peculiar stars.
1999-2000, ULO and University College London
NLTE abundance analysis and NLTE radiative accelerations in the atmospheres of hot stars (host: Mike Dworetsky).
2003-2006, Penn State University
synthetic spectra and Doppler tomography of interacting binaries (host: Mercedes Richards).
2006-2007, University of Arizona
extrasolar planets and brown dwarfs (host: Adam Burrows, Ivan Hubeny).

Apart from astronomy, mountains and any outdoor activity used to be my major hobby.
I have a lovely daughter Barborka, son Kubko and wife Anicka.
