Lomineishvili NAZOV / TITLE : Instabilities of magnetised jets in the solar atmosphere ABSTRAKT / ABSTRACT : It is known that hydrodynamic jets are unstable to the anti-symmetric kink perturbations. The instability is depended on the Alfvén Mach number (the ratio of flow speed and Alfvén speed) and the ratio of internal and external densities, but inclusion of magnetic field can become the stabilization factor. The model is presented as a magnetic tube in plasma environment and we look for possible explaining observed properties of the jets in the solar atmosphere. For this, the MHD equations of partially ionised plasmas is solved analytically (the dispersion relation is obtained) and numerically (in fully nonlinear case) for various settings. The relative importance of partial ionisation and perpendicular magnetic field component on the onset and growth rate of Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability (KHI) is quantified and discussed.
