The Gaia DR1 - Meeting the high expectations?


Abstrakt:

In September, the first data release of the Gaia satellite mission
was published (Gaia DR1). These data are combined ones with the
Tycho catalogue because the time basis of the Gaia data is still
too short. I will summarize the published technical issues, comments
on the data quality, and the first results as well as comparison
with the Hipparcos data.
